The History
Il Palazzetto was originally an elegant 19th-century residence in a prime location overlooking the Spanish Steps. For many years, it served as the private retreat of a noble Roman family, drawn to its intimate atmosphere and unparalleled views of the city.
In 1999, it became part of our family and the Hassler experience. We transformed the building into a refined boutique hotel with four rooms spread over the third and fourth floors, preserving its intimate character and understated elegance, highlighted by neutral tones and luxurious materials like velvet and satin.
Today, Il Palazzetto also features two panoramic terraces—perfect spaces to relax or host small events—offering breathtaking views of the Spanish Steps and the rooftops of Rome. We are open daily for aperitifs and light snacks, allowing guests to enjoy this unique setting at any time of day.
